Dear members, it is with great delight to welcome Geoff and Rosemarie to DV. They are our new cleaners/caretakers for KCCP and Bulla parks. They will ensure our facilities are kept clean and tidy and at times may be in attendance during events to assist members. They will setup rings and work alongside the events coordinators to ensure we deliver well planned and professional services to our members. They also bring much needed skills into the organisation including a mechanical background which can attend to our aging infrastructure reducing costs relying on contractors.
It has come to Dogs Victoria's attention that parking on Leonard Crescent, Flemington has changed from previous years. Although it is directed in your drop off/pick up parking permits to park in the Broadcast (Victoria University) carpark, on day one there was no ability to pay cash at the gate with members being advised that they needed to prebook. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be clear guidance on how to pre pay for this parking.
The Melbourne Royal Show has advised Dogs Victoria that exhibitors can access the main Flemington Racecourse carpark after drop off. Alternatives are to pay for local private house parking or park at the local school. Dogs Victoria is continuing to seek clarity from The Melbourne Royal Show regarding exhibitor car parking and will update members as soon as any further information is available. I encourage members to preplan their parking and to share this with any Melbourne Royal Show Exhibitors to avoid any parking complications.
