KCC Park

Following is a list of competition areas located at KCC Park

Exhibition Area One (grassed competition area) – Mainly used for conformation events, all breeds shows use seven rings, one ring for each group. General specials held in ring four. Ring eight is a spare ring that can be used when a breed club is holding a show on the same day as an all breeds show or when there are multiple breed club events. A separate secretaries office is also located on this exhibition area (located under the Classic room). The first aid room is also located here and contains a defibrillator.

Exhibition Area Two (grassed competition area) – Used for conformation and performance events. On a Sunday the German Shepherd Dog Club of Vic Inc (GSDCV) use this area for training BUT if it is needed for a conformation event or performance trial then the GSDCV use area seven.

Exhibition Area Three A (grassed fenced area) – Used as a large off leash area for members wishing to exercise their dogs off lead. Can also be used for herding events. MUST NOT be used for lure coursing as the area is deemed not suitable and therefore not safe.

Exhibition Area Three B (grassed fenced area) – Used as a small off leash area for members wishing to exercise their dogs off lead.

Lure Racing Area (grassed fenced area) – Situated behind exhibition area three A, used for lure racing (straight racing).

Exhibition Area Four Boxhall Pavilion (indoor competition area with rubberised flooring) – Indoor pavilion used for conformation events, training and external hire to the Nursery & Garden Industry Victoria (NGIV), Orchid Societies of Victoria. Cars or motorised vehicles are not permitted in the Boxhall Pavilion. A separate secretary’s office is also located in the Boxhall pavilion. The secretary’s office also contains a defibrillator.

Exhibition Area Five (grassed fenced area) – Used for earthdog events only.

Exhibition Area 6A (grassed area suitable for training purposes only) – Used by the GSDCV for training on a Sunday.

Exhibition Area 6B (grassed area suitable for training purposes only) – Used by the Westernport Obedience Dog Club for training on a Sunday.

Exhibition Area 7 (grassed area suitable for training and competition, not close to facilities (meeting rooms, toilets)) – Used by the GSDCV when exhibition area two is not available.

Weight Pull Area – Used for weight pull events only.

Following is a list of meeting / function rooms located at KCC Park

Function Room One – located in the same building as function room two (separated by a bi-fold doors). Contains a kitchen (standard size oven, microwave and fridge), also contains round tables and chairs. Used for meetings or as a function room for clubs. Should not be used for disciplinary hearings or management committee meetings if room two is being used as there is no privacy.

Function Room Two – located in the same building as function room two (separated by a bi-fold). Contains a kitchen (larger size oven, microwave, pie warmer and fridge), also contains round tables and chairs. Used for meetings or as a function room for clubs. Should not be used for disciplinary hearings or management committee meetings if room two is being used as there is no privacy.

Note: Function Rooms One and Two are also referred to as the Lyndhurst Rooms

The Classic Room – located above the secretaries office on exhibition area one, this room is carpeted and contains a limited kitchen (small oven, microwave, pie warmer and fridge). Mainly used for meetings and breed club functions. No disabled access as it is only accessible via stairs.

Function Room Three – located behind exhibition area two, this room is in the same building as function room four (separated by a bi-fold). This room is leased by the Westernport Obedience Dog Club (WPODC) and is often referred to as the Westernport room. WPODC have first access to this room and use it when they have training on a Sunday. Dogs Victoria can allocate this room for use by other affiliates when not used by WPODC. Contains a kitchen (standard size oven, microwave and fridge), also contains trestle tables and chairs and a toilet.

Function Room Four – located behind exhibition area two, this room is in the same building as function room three (separated by a bi-fold). This room is leased by the German Shepherd Dog Club of Victoria (GSDCV) and is often referred to as the German Shepherd Dog Club room. GSDCV have first access to this room and use it when they have training on a Wednesday evening and Sunday. Dogs Victoria can allocate this room for use by other affiliates when not used by GSDCV. Contains a kitchen (standard size oven, microwave and fridge), also contains trestle tables and chairs and a toilet. Connected to the room is a carport with café blinds which is used as a set up area etc. Cars are not permitted to park here.

Vendor areas located at KCC Park

Food Vendors – the food vendors are to set up on the designated bitumen space located outside the Boxhall pavilion and beside exhibition area two. Space permitting non-food vendors can also use this space.

Vendors Other – vendors that are not selling food are to set up in the designated vendor area which is located in parking area D (near Boxhall pavilion and the barbeque and picnic area). Vendors are required to complete a booking sheet and also supply a copy of their public liability insurance.

Camping areas located at KCC Park

Designated Camping – Those wishing to camp at KCC Park must have a self-contained motor home or caravan. Power is not available. They must also camp in the designated camping area, which is located on the fence line (Wedge Rd) in parking area B. The fee is available on the campsite booking form and scale of charges. This must be booked and paid prior to camping or the fee is doubled.

Dogs Victoria Exhibitor Set Up Policy KCC Park

  1. No set up three hours prior to the scheduled start to the show, in the event of a double show, no set up three hours prior to the scheduled start to the show on the day of the first show. This excludes gazebos booked through Dogs Victoria. Members note if they are hiring these gazebos they are not able to access them prior to the day of the show, in the event of a double show, prior to the day of the first show.
  2. All gazebos are to be set up with the narrow side to the ring to minimise large set ups to the exclusion of many other exhibitors
  3. For ring access there are to be no more than three gazebos joined together without a walkway
  4. Saved space not occupied at the commencement of the show maybe occupied by any exhibitor

No ropes, mats, tarps or other form of marking out is permitted under any circumstances due to safety issues

Bulla Exhibition Centre

Following is a list of competition areas located at the Bulla Exhibition Centre

Exhibition Area One (grassed competition area) – Mainly used for conformation events, all breeds shows use six rings. The toy group (group one) uses a ring on the multi-purpose area. General specials is generally held in the pavilion. There are two set up rings / areas, these must not be used as a judging ring, they are for exhibitors to use as a set up area only.

 

Multi-Purpose Area Two (grassed competition area) – Used for conformation and performance events. During an all breeds show the toy group uses a ring allocated on this area.

Exhibition Area Three Indoor Pavilion (indoor competition area with artificial turf flooring) – Indoor pavilion used for conformation events, training and external hire. A maximum of four rings can be set up indoors, however during an all breeds show clubs place the toy group (group one) in this area.

Exercise Area (tennis court) – Used as an off lead exercise area by exhibitors

Following is a list of meeting / function rooms located at the Bulla Exhibition Centre

Function Room One – located upstairs, is the largest of the function rooms and adjoining access to room two. Contains a kitchen (standard size oven, microwave and fridge), also contains rectangle tables and chairs. Used for meetings or as a function room for clubs.

 

Function Room Two – located upstairs, is a small sized room. Contains fridge, microwave and pie warmer also contains rectangle tables and chairs. Used for meetings or as a function room for clubs.

Function Room Three – located upstairs small room suitable for a small meeting, no kitchen facilities.

Function Room Four – located downstairs this is a small meeting room with tea and coffee facilities only.

Function Room Five – located downstairs this is a small meeting room with kitchen facilities, including fridge, sink, microwave and pie warmer. Also contains a serving bench. This room interconnects with function room four.

Function Room Six – located downstairs this is a small meeting room with small fridge, microwave and oven, but has no sink or running water.

Vendor areas located at Bulla Exhibition Centre

Food Vendors – the Calabrian Club provide the food for the public (exhibitors for events that are held at the Bulla Exhibition Centre. The kiosk is located near exhibition area one and beside the secretary’s office.

Vendors Other – vendors that are not selling food are to set up in the designated vendor area which is located between the exhibition area one and the parking area. Vendors are required to complete a booking sheet and also supply a copy of their public liability insurance.

Camping at Bulla Exhibition Centre

Designated Camping – Those wishing to camp at the Bulla Exhibition must have a self-contained motor home or caravan. Power is not available. They must also camp in the designated camping area that is located near the gravel carpark. The fee is available on the campsite booking form and scale of charges. This must be booked and paid prior to camping or the fee is doubled.
