Donation Thanks

Dogs Victoria wishes to thank the Whippet Association of Victoria once again for so generously donating funds to build the new exercise runs at KCC Park and new signage has recently been erected to reflect this. These off leash areas are open to all members who visit the Park.

Other donations from Berwick All Breeds Kennel Club, Yarra Glen Kennel Club and Friends of Obedience have also made a difference.

If any member or club wishes to donate to help further improve the Park facilities, please make contact via and BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT TO SEE.

Did you know that Dogs Victoria now has a dedicated Education Seminar page on the website?  You can view livestreamed videos for any event you have missed or wish to watch again.

A similar page has been set up for other sub-committee lectures and workshops.  Click here to see what the OTEC team have scheduled.

For simplicity, just head straight to Dogs Victoria’s very own YouTube Channel  or via the YouTube image found on the top right of every page of our website.

The Dogs Victoria September magazine is now up on our website and may have already reached some letterboxes due to an early delivery by Australia Post. In contrast, some members are yet to receive the August issue as a result of postal delays. The DV office is also in short supply.

At the 2019 Special Board meeting ANKC has recognized Trick Dog as a new sporting discipline from 1 January 2020 and will be under the umbrella of the ANKC Dances with Dogs Committee.

As a result, the following documents are now available to view:-

The Bulla Facilities Committee have been busy with ground improvements at Bulla Exhibition Centre.  Recent planting of the hedge row at the western end of the facility has recently been completed.

Procedures for Clubs - Calendar & Schedules

Have you checked the calendar?

Clubs are reminded of the following:

  • If a club does not intend to hold an event which is listed on the calendar that they need to request to have the event removed. By doing so this will allow other clubs to hold their events on the busier weekends.
  • If a club intends to hold an additional event to what is on the calendar, this request must come to the office in writing at least six months in advance for approval by the Calendar & Events Committee, via the office. The request can either come on club letterhead or via the online form found here

Dogs Victoria regulation 3.5.3:
“Any affiliated body that wishes to change the date that has been allocated for the holding of a Championship Show, Open Show, Parade or Trial, shall make application for the change. No application will be considered within six (6) months of the scheduled date of such fixture”

Have you lodged your schedule?

  • Clubs MUST lodge their schedule for approval before they advertise their event. Monetary penalties are being imposed on clubs who do not lodge their schedules in the adequate time frame.
  • Judges contracts MUST be lodged with all schedules. Judges cannot be contracted for an event which has not been approved onto the calendar.
  • Clubs must make sure that if they are lodging schedule all events are listed have been approved and placed on the Dogs Victoria calendar.

Dogs Victoria regulation 7.6.6:
“Fixture schedules that require publication must be submitted to the Dogs Victoria office for approval at least FOUR months prior to the first of the month in which the fixture is being held. Fixture schedules not being published must be submitted to the office for approval at least THREE months prior to the first of the month in which the fixture is being held.”

Notice to Members – Victorian Lockdown 5.0 extended

The Premier Daniel Andrews announced today that the current Lockdown 5.0 will be extended for a further seven days until 11.59pm Tuesday 27 July 2021. Please refer to the following link for applicable State Government information.


What does this mean for Dogs Victoria Facilities, Events, Training and Members?

  • NO Shows / trials / training and other events to proceed for the duration of the lockdown
  • KCC Park will be closed for the duration of the lockdown
  • Bulla Exhibition Centre will be closed for the duration of the lockdown
  • The Dogs Victoria administration office will be closed for over-the-counter transactions with only skeleton staff on site for the duration of the lockdown
  • Priority service for applications will be unavailable for the duration of the lockdown


Let’s protect our ability to exit this lockdown period, remain positive and;

  • Abide by current restrictions for mask wearing
  • QR Code check everywhere using the Services Victoria App
  • Regularly review exposure sites
  • Get Covid tested if you feel unwell and isolate until results are received
  • Book yourself in for vaccination when you qualify 
  • Reach out and chat to someone if you’re struggling…’s ok to not be ok.

Further announcements will be made in line with State Government restrictions changes.
