PD Insurance and Dogs Victoria are proudly partnered to bring the soft landing of pet insurance to more Victorian puppies and dogs. We are united in our mission to support ethical, healthy breeding and responsible pet parenting for the continued improvement of canine health and wellbeing.

We’re working at multiple levels to help owners, breeders, members and the general public access pet insurance more easily.

Exclusive Breeder Rewards Program

Delivering on our promise of improved access to pet insurance, PD Insurance will provide the following benefits to breeders, their customers and puppies and dogs, via the Breeder Rewards Program*:  

• FREE Starter Cover. Dogs Victoria breeders will be able to provide each customer with FREE Starter Cover for their new puppy.

• Puppy Referral Breeder Rewards. Dogs Victoria breeders will be eligible for cash rewards for each of their customers that convert their FREE Starter Cover Plan to a paid pet insurance policy.
• Dog Referral Breeder Rewards. Dogs Victoria breeders will also be able to earn rewards each time they refer a dog owner to PD, and that dog owner purchases a policy, using their breeder code.

These benefits are designed to protect puppies with a safety net while they settle into their new homes. This solid foundation also provides new owners with added peace of mind so they can connect with their new puppy with fewer concerns about unexpected vet bills. 

What is FREE Starter Cover?

FREE Starter Cover is a period of complimentary cover for a range of accident and illness benefits. FREE Starter Cover is only eligible for customers who buy their puppy from a registered Dogs Victoria breeder.

PD provides FREE Starter Cover at no cost to the breeder or their customers. This cover  helps pay unexpected vet costs which can be costly and aren’t subsidised like human medical care.

When can I sign-up?

Further details about the Breeder Rewards Program will be communicated within the first quarter of 2025. This program will only be available to breeders registered with Dogs Victoria.
