Hi, I'm Charlie, a Basenji Preservation Breeder from Melbourne, Australia. These are my fur babies, and this is our story.

It all began when I optimistically searched online for a dog that's low on barking, clean, doesn't shed, good with kids, fine being alone, and doesn't smell. To my surprise, I stumbled upon a unique breed called the Basenji aka the African Barkelss Dog. Instantly captivated, I knew I had to have one. However, Basenjis were not very common, and they only go into season once a year. Determined, I quickly reached out to breeders and found myself traveling to another state to hold my first Basenji, Jax. He changed the game, and life was never the same.

Jax grew into a handsome fellow, and I became obsessed with researching the breed. It was all new to me, and I constantly discovered fascinating facts, like their existence dating back to 6000 BC. Intrigued, I delved into Jax's lineage and discovered his bloodline tracing back to the 1800s. I couldn't resist preserving such an incredible pedigree.

Our beloved Basenji puppies are known for their exceptional temperaments, some of the finest coats in Australia, and an impressive pedigree! With countless hours of love, socialization, and gentle interaction with children from their earliest days, these puppies are nurtured daily, ensuring they grow into affectionate, well-adjusted companions.
