ALCANCE is a Spanish word, meaning "To Reach, To Stretch, To Overcome". It signifies our breeding ethos and determination. It's also a good description of the boxer itself!

Alcance Boxers is small, robust & caring breeder based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. We show our dogs and occasionally will have puppies available for sale to absolute Boxer-loving people.

We may at times also have mature boxers available for rehoming.

Our goals as dedicated breeders are:

To produce quality boxers of sound health, form and temperament
Raise our puppies to be resilient and socialised appropriately
Provide ongoing post purchase support to owners - aka "Alcance Alumni".
Show our boxers as much as possible and be involved with the wider Boxer Community

About Us:
Jill has a 4 year Bachelor Of Science degree in Animal Science; she is excited to apply her knowledge in the creation of healthy dogs;

Frank has a keen interest in training & socialising our dogs. Emilia has a degree in Psychology and is our expert handler,

Emilia is Delta Therapy Dog accredited and enjoys putting our boxers to work benefiting those in hospice or hospital.

Zac has now become a commissioned officer in the RAN, but will always be an integral member of our pack!

Before we breed any of our dogs, we conduct extensive health & genetic testing for common health issues found in the breed:

Genetic Testing includes ARVC1, ARVC2 and DM
Full Thyroid Panel, including tgAA
24 hr Holter Monitor
Aortic Stenosis and Valve Disease
ANKC CHEDS Hip scoring

We only breed our girls with dogs that achieve a rating of 0 for Aortic Stenosis.
