Who are we?
The Irish Wolfhound Club of Victoria was founded by a dedicated group of individuals in 1977. Our objective is to promote and encourage interest in the breeding of pure bred dogs, their upkeep, training and general well-being for the ongoing improvement of the Irish Wolfhound.
We aim to successfully educate people about Irish Wolfhounds and promote healthy, happy Irish Wolfhounds at all levels of ownership.
We also offer a rescue service for pure bred Irish Wolfhounds that for various reasons may need our assistance.

Join our Club
Any club needs members to support it, without members, the club would fold. By becoming a member you receive a “welcome pack”, and a quarterly club magazine “CU” which provides information on recent and future shows and events, and can include interviews with breeders, pet owners, pictures, health information and other useful bits and pieces.
You don’t need to own an Irish Wolfhound to become a member – you just need to love the breed.
2017 Championship Show - 13th March (Monday)
We hold a Championship Show every year. The Championship Show enables registered Irish Wolfhound breeders in Victoria and Interstate to compete for the prize of Best in Show, and is normally the largest turnout in Victoria, of registered breeders and their dogs, in one spot, and provides a great opportunity for people to meet breeders and their dogs.
This years Championship show will be held at Bulla Exhibition Centre on Monday the 13th of March 2017 (Labour Day long weekend). The Judge officiating is Mr Bo Bengston from Sweden.
We would like to extend an invitation for anyone interested in Irish Wolfhounds to attend.
Irish wolfhound related merchandise will also be available to purchase on the day.
